Tingdene Group becomes a Suffolk Wildlife Trust Nature Guardian

By Sophie Green - 16 November 2025
Sophie Green is the Marketing Manager at Tingdene Holiday Parks. Having grown up on the Norfolk coast and now living near Norwich, she combines local knowledge with over a decade of industry experience to share trusted travel insights and holiday home inspiration across the UK. A frequent visitor to Tingdene’s holiday parks in Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and Essex, Sophie is passionate about promoting the natural beauty, local heritage, and relaxed holiday lifestyle across the UK.
We’re delighted to share some exciting news!
Tingdene Group has officially become a Nature Guardian with Suffolk Wildlife Trust, proudly twinned with Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve.

What is a Nature Guardian with Suffolk Wildlife Trust?
Nature Guardians are organisations committed to protecting wildlife, caring for the environment, and helping to create a more climate-resilient Suffolk. By joining this initiative, we’re supporting Suffolk Wildlife Trust to:
- Maintain and protect nature reserves across Suffolk
- Restore and care for vital natural habitats
- Inspire communities through nature education and engagement

Why Suffolk Wildlife Trust Carlton Marshes?
Carlton Marshes is a breathtaking 1,000-acre reserve in the Broads National Park, home to some of the largest populations of wading birds in the East of England.
Perfectly placed between our Waveney River Centre and Broadlands Park & Marina, the reserve is easy to explore as a holiday home owner or guest, whether you take the scenic riverside footpath from Broadlands or hop across the Waveney foot ferry. For many years, Suffolk Wildlife Trust members have enjoyed free foot ferry travel, and now this special partnership takes our support even further.
This twinning makes perfect sense, as our holiday parks and marinas rely on a thriving natural environment. By supporting Carlton Marshes, we’re helping to protect the landscapes on our doorstep while encouraging our holiday homeowners, berthholders, and visitors to discover and enjoy its wild beauty.

Our support so far
- Over £900 raised through raffles at our family fun days in 2024 & 2025
- Ongoing donations collected across our park receptions
- Our Marketing Manager, Sophie Green, ran the 2025 Ipswich Half Marathon in aid of Suffolk Wildlife Trust
This partnership is a fantastic addition to our wider sustainability initiative, helping us to champion nature, conservation, and the wild beauty that makes holidays in the Broads so special.
We’re proud to support Suffolk Wildlife Trust and Carlton Marshes, and we encourage everyone to head along for a fantastic day out in nature.
